Interview with Adnan Oktar

Image
1. You are widely famous for your pen name Harun Yahya, and your real name is Adnan Oktar. Why do you use a pen-name? God informs the believers in the Qur’an that Prophet Aaron (as) and Prophet John (as) were sent to help Prophet Moses (as) and Prophet Jesus (as) respectively. Likewise, Muslims are the helpers, friends and brothers and sisters of the Messenger of God. I am using the pen name Harun Yahya as a sign of my prayers and intention to be a helper of the Messenger of God in the End Times. It is a name chosen with the intention to become a person who helps, supports, protects and watches over the prophets as Aaron and John did. 2. Your concentration is entirely dedicated to refute some antagonistic venomous theories such as Darwinism and Romanticism. Why? People complain about wars, exiles, wrongdoings and injustices, and they all want a change in the way things are going yet most of them either fail to or do not bother to identify the main reason that makes the world a...

Economic Globalization doesn’t Bring Prosperity to Everyone

Image
Marco Polo was pioneering the global economy 700 years ago when he brought products from China to Italy via the Silk Road. Since then, with the development of transnational trade, the globalization of the economy has gained increased momentum. Today, it is not at all surprising for a company to produce goods in a country other than its homeland and then to sell its products around the world. The global economy has become so widespread that it has started to affect state politics, international relations, international law and social dynamics. But, did economic globalization, which had such a profound effect on the world, bring prosperity to the people? This question is answered differently by the advocates of globalization and its opponents. Advocates of classically liberal economics argue that competition and the possibility for high profit in the markets will naturally lead to the most efficient distribution of resources. According to them, economic globalization is an oppor...

Refugees Returning to Unknown

Image
Adnan Oktar's piece in The Pioneer (India): http://www.dailypioneer.com/columnists/oped/returning-to-the-unknown.html As the majority of the world’s people maintain their disturbing indifference towards the suffering of millions of refugees, who were once normal people with normal lives just like them, the situation continues to worsen. The ongoing conflicts and abysmal poverty in the four corners of the world turn more people into refugees, migrants and asylum-seekers every day. For instance, it might have escaped the notice of many people in the world, but in September of this year, authorities in the Democratic Republic of Congo opened fire on protesting  Burundi refugees  and killed 39 of them, including a 10-year-old girl. Ironically, the Burundis were protesting because they didn't want to be sent back to their countries, where they might get killed. The world kept quiet. Then  Hungary , a country already notorious for its hostile stance against refugees,...

Women must enjoy the utmost freedom and comfort

Adnan Oktar's piece in BERNAMA (Malaysia) & The Malaysian Times'da (Malaysia): http://www.bernama.com/bernama/v8/fe/newsfeatures.php?id=1412510 http://www.themalaysiantimes.com.my/rightful-freedom-women-21st-century/ In the recent weeks the world of art, especially Hollywood, was shaken by one of the greatest scandals in its modern history. 80 women have come forward, one after the other, with claims about sexual harassment against the famous producer Harvey Weinstein who had 81 Oscar wins. Long-standing rumours took a far more complicated turn when stars such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie and Rose McGowan entered the picture. No doubt, the truth of these allegations will emerge only after the legal process but these allegations have turned the attention of the world once again to the repressed lives women have been forced to live. Many may think of these events as the natural result of the moral degeneracy of Hollywood, sometimes standing out with scanda...

Let's Save the Innocent

Image
Adnan Oktar's piece in Kashmir Reader (India):  http://kashmirreader.com/2017/11/16/saving-the-innocent/ Children are among the most beautiful blessings in this world. They are innocent, wholesome, pure, sweet beings that see and look at everything through positive eyes. To them, everyone is good, everything is a wonder to be discovered. It is impossible to imagine a world without them; a world without their beautiful faces, souls and happy laughter would be intolerable. They are so precious, as soon as they walk into a room, everyone should compliment them and show them how much they deserve respect and appreciation. Clearly, no sane person would want to imagine, let alone see, a child getting hurt. Similarly, there is no doubt that every good and conscientious person would do everything in their power to protect children and ensure their happiness. And in today’s world, there is much to do in this regard. According to a UNICEF report, three quarters of the world’s childr...
